Fourth Grade Welcome

Welcome to Fourth Grade

2024-2025

Hello!  We hope you are ready for summer.  Next year we will be studying a lot of interesting units such as immigration, energy, long division, and mythology.  Also, we will be reading a ton of fabulous books, both independently and during read aloud.  This coming school year will be both exciting and challenging; but above all it will be fun.

The fourth grade classrooms have always been safe, accepting, and great places to learn.  But in order to keep them that way we will need to take risks, accept mistakes, and take pride in not only our own accomplishments, but everyone else’s as well.  Every one of us is unique and special, and we believe it is important to celebrate our similarities and differences daily.

If you should have any questions, comments, or concerns during the school year, please feel free to contact a member of the 4th Grade Team—201-670-2760.
Mr. Connelly (ext. 56614), Mrs. Finucane (ext. 56623)  Mr. Schick (ext. 56616), or Mrs. Feuilly (ext. 56602).

Additionally, we can be reached via email at
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected].  Your questions and concerns are very important to us so please don’t hesitate to call or write.

Since the first day of school is a minimum day, please have your child bring a snack to school.  Additionally, we will have a snack break everyday, if you would like your child to have a mid-morning snack please send them to school with something healthy to eat.  Please remember that your child will also need to bring in an art smock, labeled with his or her name, in a zip-lock bag for art class.

We realize that many of you have pre-ordered your school supplies through the HSA, but we have included a supply list for those of you who prefer shopping in person.

We are eager to begin our year together.  Enjoy the summer and get excited for fourth grade!

Sincerely,

The Travell Fourth Grade Teachers
