Dear Parents,

Hello and welcome to first grade! My name is Carolyn Treible and I am your child’s first grade teacher! I am looking forward to meeting everyone soon and I am also eager to begin our journey into first grade.

My hope this school year is to build a community of learners with your children that will uphold the standards and expectations of Travell Elementary. I welcome your support and encourage your involvement in our classroom. By working together, I am confident the children will have a successful year in our first grade class.

In addition to any school supplies you ordered through Travell, your child will need to bring in an Art smock for the year. An old T-shirt will do nicely.  Please secure it in a large zip-lock bag and write your child’s name on the shirt and the bag. I also ask that you send in one photo of your child and one of your family (2 total). Please send everything in on the first day of school.

If you ordered supplies through the school and they were sent to your house, please send in the entire box with your child on our first day. If you did not, please see the school supply list below, and also send them in on the first day of school. As it is an early dismissal on the first day, students will need a light lunch or snack in their lunch box to have when we break mid-morning.

Our room number is 128, our class name is 1TR, and I will join you outside with a sign that says “1TR Mrs. Treible” to let you know who I am. Enjoy the summer and know that your children are in good hands. I am looking forward to seeing you all in September.
